Horton’s Steam Fair is coming to West Wycombe May 30th and 31st

Horton’s Steam Fair has announced their 2026 tour, which is going all across the United Kingdom. Horton’s Steam Fair is one of the more traditional, old-fashion touring fairs that bring something so fun yet so vintage to the country. This year, it’s bigger and better than ever!

This steam fair features a large collection of restored Britain funfair rides, bringing them to life for festivals and for the sets of film and TV. This is Horton’s second year on tour, where they’ve brought together authentic pieces from the 1900s to 1960s, including iconic rides from Carters Steam Fair, which we attended a few years back and very much enjoyed.

There is something at Horton’s Steam Fair for everyone, from miniature rides made for smaller toddlers to family rides that are perfect for teens and tweens alike. The rides work on a token-based system, which is very reasonably priced for a fairground, especially if you purchase the tokens online, where there is a bundled discount. Some of these locations also have free fireworks, laser shows, dancers, and even vintage vehicles that will be apart of the show. It’s completely free to enter and walk around – the vintage rides look fantastic to photography too.

If you are looking for a specific line up of rides at Horton’s Steam Fair, they’ve got the following:

  • Family rides: Steam Gallopers, Lightning Skid, Chair O Plane, Big Wheel, Dodgems & Swingboats
  • Rides for younger children: Austin cars, Children’s Toy Roundabout and Mini Octopus
  • Vintage Arcade, Cork Saloon, Hook A Duck, Coconut Shy, Mirror Show

We will be attending Horton’s Steam Fair this year and sharing our review after we’ve visited. Our entire family is looking forward to seeing these fantastic, vintage rides and getting to interact with such an interesting fairgrounds.
