Exploring MCM Comic Con London 2026

[Ad- gifted experience] Another year, another MCM Comic Con London! It feels like each time this comes around, at least one kid is out of school. We’ve had a day of just Kai, a day of Kai and Amelia, and this year we got a day of just Robin and a day of just Kai! On the Friday at MCM Comic Con London 2026, we took just Robin as she was the one without school that day. Kai had also asked to attend, so we decided to take him on the Sunday, as Dann and I always tend to go two days to get everything done.

For those unfamiliar, MCM Comic Con London is a sort of celebration of everything geek culture. The majority of this event is shops, selling all sorts of items. We always spend a lot at the different stalls, watching out for drop shippers and focusing on real artists selling their creations. The next biggest thing at MCM Comic Con London is the amount of people that dress up as their favorite fandom and walk around. Last year, Amelia dressed up and this year Robin wanted to as well. Kai started speculating about his costume for next year already, which is super exciting as well.

Robin went as Matilda, specifically from the first day of school in the musical. This was such a cute and simple DIY outfit – it was so neat that she wanted to dress up. On the first day we attended MCM Comic Con London, we went right to the stalls. I had been following a Pokemon Card rally, where creators had designed a set of Pokemon cards, which if all were collected, would get you a god pack. Amelia and I did that last year, and she was very excited to see these full art, unofficial cards again this year, so I was determined to get it done on the first day before these sold out. I knew it was popular! So, we dashed around, picking up lots of loot from the various stalls. Robin loved picking out her own pins, stickers and trinkets from various different sellers. One of her absolute favorites was Sarah Graley, who is a comic book artist who has a bunch of cats, including one with the same name as one of ours. Robin also was extremely excited to be chosen and recorded with me for some social media for a blind box opening company too!

We did manage to complete the card rally, which I then got to show Amelia after school and she was so delighted. She has a binder of these fan-made art cards, so it’s one of those individual collections. We also were able to get everything Robin wanted, before we did some of the interactions. One area allowed us to draw our names on a massive wall area, another allowed us to try out some Fanta. Robin very much liked looking at the LEGO, and we briefly played some of the small gaming section.

On the Saturday, Kai was going for the video games by the sounds of things. We gave him the freedom to explore how he wanted, and he wanted to stick with Dann, which isn’t surprising. We spent a good amount of time in the Leftfield Collection, which was the main video game section, before exploring and seeing some of the photo stands. Kai is a big food guy, and ended up grabbing some chicken there and tacos for lunch, at two different stands. Robin had nachos and tacos on her day! We also watched some of the wrestling, as Kai was interested in it, before doing a big walk around. Kai purchased some accessories and a massive novelty drinking glass, which was interesting, before declaring that he was “pretty much done” and then talking about dressing up the next year.

MCM Comic Con London is always a bit of an expensive one, but you can often find things that aren’t anywhere else. The amount of talent from artists and the amount of geek culture there is truly fun. We are looking forward to going back again soon!
