Pilipalahandmade Halloween Wax Melt | Review

Along with the massive amount of candles that we have purchased for Halloween, we picked up a Halloween wax melts box from the Etsy seller Pilipalahandmade. At the price of £8, this box of wax melts feels like a bargain! There are a bunch of different scents and shapes that really seemed perfect for Halloween, so let’s get right into these sents!

Pumpkin Spice Wax Melt

I got two pumpkin spice wax melts in my box, both looking like cute, orange pumpkins! There is a slight citrus undertone, bringing a fruity note to this wax melt, but the spices are there, bringing the pumpkin and classic Autumn feel to this box of melts.

Smoke & Mirrors

One of the larger wax melts, Smoke and Mirrors has a very masculine scent to me. There are hints of musk and wood smells, reminding me of men’s cologne. I don’t have much of a connect with Halloween or Fall with this scent, and it wasn’t one of my favorites, but the details on the graveyard melt itself is really lovely.

Coffee Shop

This ghost smells like fresh coffee – no sugar, just ground beans. There doesn’t seem to be any specks of beans within it, but if you held it to my nose and I took a sniff, I would honestly think there was a cup of black coffee or a bunch of ground beans under my nose. Coffee shops are places I go in Autumn, so it makes sense, and the little ghost is cute.

Sandalwood

We have a lot of sandalwood scented wax melts previously. This one was meant to be a moon, however, it sort of fell apart in the packaging and when I took it out, the two moon halves were separated and the rest crumbled. This melt had wood shavings in it and smelled like a cold fire, right next to some leaves.

Fireside

Another set of two wax melts, Fireside came as two different leaves. This melt was also quite masculine in scent, smelling peppery and sort of like wood and musk. I liked this better than the other masculine scent, as the peppery scent is almost rejuvenating.

Witches Brew

Another huge wax melt with some amazing detail, Witches Brew almost smells like hazelnuts, but also of smoke and coal. It’s an interesting scent, but one that feels a bit overpowering for me.

Overall, this box was a bit of a mixed bag in this Halloween wax melts box! I really love all of the shapes, colors of the wax melts, but the scents were quite all over the place. Many of them were a lot stronger than I would have normally purchased, but if you like musky and heavily spiced scents, they might be for you.
