The Simple Hydrate+ Gel Cream has a very interesting texture. It’s not quite cream, it’s not quite a gel, it’s something completely in between. I feel this is key when it comes to the light aspect of this, which feels really cooling when you put it on your skin. I don’t feel that the Simple Hydrate+ Gel Cream feels oily and it’s left my skin not feeling to wet either – just clean, cool and hydrating.
It’s recommended to put on this moisturizer twice daily, which I have been using in the morning and evening. I have a combination skin type, but this product is great for all skin types, including sensitive skin. Like most of Simple’s products, this formula is straight forward, keeping in everything you need for hydrated skin but not using common irritants, fragrances, alcohol or artificial colors, which is what makes it so good for all skin types. It’s got hyaluronic acid, which helps draw moisture into the skin, keeping your skin moisturized throughout the day.
My skin isn’t generally dry, apart from when the seasons change, but I did feel a difference in how hydrated my skin was after use – it felt much better than normal. The Simple Hydrate+ Gel Cream does layer well, if you use serums and have a more complex routine, but also can be used if you just want a little extra hydration! I do appreciate how light weight, affordable, and no-fuss this gel cream is.
