[Ad- gifted experience] We went along to another pumpkin patch; this time The Green Barn Farm. This pumpkin patch is extremely affordable and feels like a real farm; with an area where you can pet animals, some cows in a field, and of course tons of pumpkins! We weren’t sure what to expect, as we had never been to The Green Barn Farm, but we were up for another spooky-themed adventure.

The Green Barn Farm does have the option to pre-book, but you can also pay at the door. Entry includes one free pumpkin and tons of activities, so it’s really a package deal. We arrived, parked up in their car park, and then headed through their entrance where they have some select Halloween and spooky items, including sweets, before going towards the field. They have tons of hay bails that children were climbing all over, along with a few outdoor photo points by the pumpkin patch. But, the first thing we did was go on the Tractor Ride.
Tractor Ride and Pumpkin Patch

Right by the front of the pumpkin patch, there is a sign saying you can wait for a tractor ride. This tractor ride comes about every 10 minutes, so there isn’t a long wait. There were some actors dressed as giant butterflies entertaining everyone until the tractor came! Everyone then piled into the open back tractor, which took us around the edge of the pumpkin patch and through a place in the far end of it, to see pumpkins. One side of the tractor does have a far better view than the other, but both sides do have moments where they can see all of the bright orange pumpkins in the field. I quite like tractor rides as they were something I always did as a kid, and this one felt like a fantastic length. The pumpkin patch, which is rather large, has a bunch of pre-cut off the vine pumpkins and some that you can find on the vine. It is a real pumpkin field, so it also has wild flowers and weeds throughout, along with some pumpkin blossoms. The Green Barn Farm h as decent sized pumpkins, no huge-huge ones, and any additional pumpkins are only £2 each, which is cheaper than Tesco!
Sunflower-Corn Maze and Inside the Barn

We took our time making our way down towards the barn area of The Green Barn Farm, stopping at the maze. This maze was a mix of a sunflower maze at the start and a corn maze towards the middle, which was very interesting. There was a massive sign explaining that a curse had been brought upon the field, and that we needed to lift the curse by finding various objects in the maze, seeing all of the scarecrows, and making it to the exit. We had a fun time going through the sunflowers then finding the corn and following the scarecrows around. There was an actor at one point that spooked me, which everyone thought was very funny. They then tried to spook Amelia who wasn’t spooked at all, but declared it was her favorite moment of the day. In the middle, there is a giant chalk board where we needed to write our names on it to lift the curse, then we climbed a giant hay bail tower, took some pictures, and found the exit. It’s a nice maze with a really good size and not too many dead ends.

After the maze, we went inside the barn to check out the animals! It’s worth noting for toddlers, there is a tiny running maze of hay bails next to the little play park, but we were here to see the pigs, sheep, baby bunnies and guineapigs. These animals were all within arms reach! A member of staff even came over and let us all pet Caramel, one of the guineapigs, which Robin and Amelia really loved doing. Inside the barn, there was a bar, along with tons of photo points! We had a lot of fun taking pictures and interacting with the piano and the grave digger site where Robin dug through dirt to find bones. It’s a fun little area.
Burgers at the Cafe and Marshmallows Outside

When we went to The Green Barn Farm, the staff told us we had to try the burgers there. They have a cafe at the back of their farm shop that has a few items; burgers, breakfast sandwiches, then some crisps and pastries. There are also a selection of hot and cold drinks. We each got a smash burger, where the beef was sourced locally from their own cows – it was extremely fresh. These burgers were very delicious, with it being Kai’s favorite thing. The cafe itself was on the busy side, with not a lot of space. It was also decorated for Halloween featuring Harry Potter, which is something that we try to avoid, due to the author’s beliefs when it comes to people, but it was cute to have all of the drinks under spooky names.

Outside the cafe, there were marshmallow roasting stations, with marshmallows for sale. We got a s’mores kit and marshmallows for everyone, which we roasted up, along with a few cookies for Robin and Amelia that were perfectly spooky. We had a lot of fun at The Green Barn Farm – it was such a fun experience and I can see this being an absolute favorite for toddlers, as there was so much to do. The price point is also fantastic for those looking for a pumpkin patch on a bit of a budget.
You can check out our other Days Out to see what else we’ve been up too!

This place looks great! I love that it’s not just a pumpkin patch and that there’s so much to do there. My kids would have been all over the marshmallow toasting!

It looks great. I like it when it is a real growing patch. Nice that the tractor comes frequently too as that part is always fun. We are hoping to visit a pumpkin patch next week.
Looks like a great family day out, I also love pigs I keep asking if I can have one in the garden. The food looks great as well
That sounds like so much fun getting to go pick your own pumpkin!!! I love that you could also see animals there and got to pet a guineapig x
What a fun place to visit. Since its so hot here in Central Florida, there aren’t any pumpkin patches around. I miss that.
I would LOVE to spend the day with the fam at Green Barn Farm! It’s just the kind of place we go to every fall.
No fall is complete without an outing to a really good pumpkin farm (or two). Green Barn Farm looks like a TON of fun!
