[Ad- gifted product] It doesn’t really snow in England. Where Jupiter grew up, snow covered the ground by Halloween, causing snow days and road closures by Christmas. She is very fond of the memories of snow, though she never enjoyed the cold, snow down the back of the shirt events that would come with a white, winter dusting. Snow ball fights are something you can see in most TV shows and movies around the time of Christmas, but in England, that’s just not really possible.
This year, we got some Snoball mix from Zimpli Kids. Not sure what to expect, we figured this would be perfect to play with in the holiday before Christmas. The children seemed very interested in the idea of a massive snowball fight outside, and the answers was either chopping up lots of little bits of ice into snow or trying out these Snoballs. The snow itself was very easy to make; we simply mixed the powdered mix in a large bowl with the listed amount of water.
At first, it just looked like slightly slimy water, and again, we were not convinced. We left it for a moment to go and get our shoes on, and came back to a big bowl of fluffy sort of slime, sort of snow substances. We made up the other bowl, finished getting ready, and then headed out. Unlike traditional snow, Snoballs isn’t cold – it’s basically the temperature of the water you put into it. It’s not sticky like slime, nor does it really form into snowballs, but it’s super fun to grab and throw at each other.
We had small packets of the Snoball, which didn’t last long. We are looking to get the bigger battle pack next year, in hopes of having a massive snowball fight! Though this went quickly, it was really fun. Snoball is bio-degradable, therefor, playing with it in the garden meant we can leave it there until the next rain washes it into the ground. You can play with the Snoballs in the house, where you can then dust it away after it drys out a bit and dump it into your bin.
Overall, Zimpli Kids Snoball was really enjoyable and gave us a great taste of winter fun. It’s definitely going to be a new tradition over here! You can purchase a big pack of Zimpli Kids Snoballs on Amazon.
