A Knock Knock Joke a Day

*AD – the item in this review was gifted to our household for this post. All opinions, as always, are our own.

Daddilife Books, a group of bloggers and writers who happen to be dads, have released another book! Much like their A Joke a Day book, this book also is all about jokes; A Knock Knock Joke a Day, contains a knock knock joke specifically to tell, each and every day of the year (including leap years), that are dad approved and will get our family to at the very least groan at you. Knock Knock Jokes are a whole joke type on their own – one that everyone knowns. This book of jokes are all family friendly, and having one a day starts your day off right.

We actually do often pick up either this joke book or their other joke a day joke book and tell the day’s joke, witch Kai being in charge of reading it off. The other joke from the book we’ve not picked that day, often gets written into their school lunch note, for them to tell back at me or Dann when they are home. It’s a great little system we have, and it’s much better using these jokes then trying to google them! The kids are currently big into telling jokes, some with more success than others, si having a joke book to reference helps!

Inside A Knock Knock Joke a Day, there is more than just a bunch of jokes. The book starts with an indepth timeline talking about the history of Knock Knock jokes themselves, dating back to 1800s with Do You Know jokes, which had a similar format, but did not have the dramatic pause that adds a lot of comedic effect that Knock Knock jokes allow through their delivery. Speaking of delivery, A Knock Knock Joke a Day has a full guide on how to best deliver a Knock Knock specific joke, talking about diving right in and how long you should pause and why between vaarious parts. If you are new to telling jokes, it’s a handy way to learn how to be better recieved!

Daddilife is a group of over 150,000 dads, so all of these jokes are researched and Dad approved. Leaning into their strengths and creating a second book, around Knock Knock Jokes, really seems like a fun way to curate some jokes, perfect for Dads and kids alike! We have really enjoyed the book so far, and can’t wait to continue reading one a day through the new year.
