Experiencing Magic in House of Dreamers

Dann and I really enjoy going to places that feel like they might be made for Instagram – places that are a little different and out of the way. So, while in Paris, we wanted to check out the House of Dreamers. The House of Dreamers might have started off as a Barbie Experience, based on the amount of pink and the fun Barbie vibes, but now acts as a bunch of magical, mysterious rooms, many of which have different phrases that felt empowering and motivating, which was a really positive experience.

The Steak Board at Baha Bowness

Each year, for our anniversary, we go to The Lakes Hotel and Spa, and while there go out for food nearby. Dann picked out Baha Bowness, which was right near another restaurant we quite enjoyed, as a new place to try out. Their food looked good, a nice Korean-fusion going on, and it didn’t match that of the pubs that can be found in the area – which is exactly what we were looking for. The general vibes were great – fantastic music and good staff. It’s also a dog friendly venue, which works well with all of the people walking their dogs along the lake. They also have live music on a lot of the nights, if that’s something you’re into.

Unicorns & Rainbow Wreath with Sweet Designs by Jennie

Each month, Amelia and I have a little mother-daughter time going to a cupcake class in Essex, which is lead by Sweet Designs by Jennie. We’ve been going to a few different wreath classes, which are a more free-style cake decorating classes. Instead of a half dozen cupcakes, we decorate ten, and the idea is to make a bunch of little decorations and then add them wherever you want really! We started off the class, as usual, with all the cupcakes already baked and cooked and all of the frosting and fondant already out and ready.

Finding Colorful Penguins at Waddle-On-Sea

The weather has been fantastic lately, so we have been by the seaside! We went with our whole family on Friday, but our focus was collecting sea glass, having a picnic, and exploring arcades. While there, Dann and I spotted a few colorful penguins, so decided to come back on our own at the weekend so that we could find some more. We came along with one of our friends, as there was a Pokemon event on, so we could collect some seaside Pokemon and spot some penguins! This penguin trail was Waddle-On-Sea, a yearly event that takes place from the start of July until the start of September, providing a trail of Penguins throughout Southend-on-Sea and Leigh-on-Sea!

Must try in Harlow – Mui & Koko Noodle Bar

Dann and I go to Mui & Koko Noodle Bar roughly twice a month, and have done so for well over a year. We actually call Mui & Koko Noodle Bar “King Du”, which was their previous name, years and years back. They are a Chinese, Japanese and Korean noodle bar, with tons of huge dishes at very good prices. We tend to go often as on Wednesdays we run an event in Harlow Town with our Pokemon Go group. Every other week, we then meet up with our friends from Birmingham and a few regulars to the Pokemon Go event, we all go out to dinner, and then we go to the movies afterwards! Mui & Koko Noodle Bar is quick, delicious, and consistently all of our favorites.
