A Day Out to Paulos Circus

[Ad- gifted experience] Ever since seeing Circus Fantasia, Robin and I have been keeping our eyes peeled for more circuses to visit. There is just something about all of these different performances, ones that you can not take your eyes off of, in quick succession. It feels magical. Dann always describes it like boss fights in JRPGs – intense, with loud music, drawing in all of your attention and captivating you. Over quickly, when you just want to see more. When we were invited to Paulos Circus, we were all very excited to get along! This circus had acts we had never seen before, which is already pretty exciting! Though Circus Paulos is running at a smaller capacity, due to COVID, it is still packed with amazing performances and a lot of fun.

Sprucing up our Living Room with New Cushions for Summertime

[Ad- gifted product] The seasons have changed and whenever that happens, we look to redecorate our rooms. Our living room is one of the main focuses, as it’s where we spend the majority of our time as a family. When the seasons change, we tend to get a new throw blanket for the sofa, sometimes a new rug, and often new couch cushions. When looking for seasonal items that will change the feel of our rooms, we tend to use the seasons as our frame of reference for inspiration. In the wintertime, we have Christmas themed cushions and winter throw blankets, in the autumn they have a big fall vibe.

Little Cooks Co Baking Box for June

This month, our Little Cooks Co box contained something involving strawberries, which Amelia was really excited for! The Little Cooks Co box is a children’s cooking box, with healthier recipes and opportunities to reflect on what is being learned and how these dishes are healthy. Inside this month’s box, we had two recipes (a main recipe and a fun recipe included), dry ingredients for our main recipe, a recipe and some ingredients for hand lotion and spinach seeds. As this is our third box, we also got a little cupcake badge, with a 1 on it – though Amelia felt the 1 was secretly a 7 because of how big the “hat” of the number is.

The Bear Can Read Koala Box for June | Review

Another month, another bundle of books! Robin is still really enjoying her Koala Box from The Bear Can Read, finding it super fun to read through these books and work on the various worksheets that are included in the box. As per usual, this box actually follows the curriculum she is learning in school, working well as an aid in her learning, so that we can continue to improve her reading and handwriting! She also very much enjoys getting mail, opening her box, and especially diving right into her books.

Teaching Children about Insects with Bright Minds

[Ad- gifted product] The sun is out, the birds are tweeting each day, and everything seems a bit warm and bright during the day. Now that the weather has gotten better, children are out playing outside, in nature. Bright Minds has tons of nature toys to help children better interact and even learn from the world around them – a much needed break from screens and always being in front of video games. Kai, actually, started playing a Roblox game all about becoming an ant and living in an ant colony. As he had this new fascination with ants, we wanted to bring that interest to the real world, so we decided to get Kai a starter ant farm. He’s quite excited about having a “proper” ant farm (IE, one with a queen ant) but those last for 30 years as an active farm, so we figured a starter farm would be better for him. To get ready to get ants, we actually picked up three items from Bright Minds.
