Afternoon Tea with Cats at Whiskers & Cream Cat Cafe

It’s no secret that everyone in this home really loves cats and kittens! Pancake, our own cat, is quite spoiled with toys, attention, and treats. There are quite a few cat cafes nearby, including London’s first ever cat cafe Lady Dinah’s Cat Emporium, but many of those have age restrictions. Because of Robin’s age, we decided to go out one day to the Whiskers & Cream cat cafe to hang out with some new cats while eating treats of our own. When booking to visit the cat cafe, you can either pay an admissions fee (which comes with a free drink) or book for afternoon tea, where there are a bunch of different menus for food options from vegan to children’s menus!

We choose to go for lunch, picking the normal afternoon tea for us adults and the children’s afternoon tea for the children, but let’s talk about the cats. There are 9 cats in Whiskers & Cream – and you are told about each of them. All of these cats have different personalities and like different toys. After being introduced to everyone (and having our food served) it was up to us if we wanted to snack or go play. The kids were able to talk to the staff to find out different cat’s favourite toys, before trying to play with them! Many of the cats were playful, Jasper being the biggest, loudest, and most excited cat.

On the hunt for Cats vs Pickles plush toys | Review

[Ad- gifted product] Kai, Amelia and Robin do really love cats. We have two cats and a large mix of stuffed cats already, but when the kids got a hold of Cats vs Pickles, they were excited for the fantasy cats with all these different patterns. Kai had previously put on videos of cats doing funny things, so we already knew that cats were afraid of cucumbers. Cats vs Pickles, made by Cepia LLC, takes this concept – cats being afraid of cucumbers and thus afraid of pickles, and turns them into collectible, adorable cats with their own youtube show and mobile game!

5 Strategies for Planning a Funeral for the First Time

In life, we will inevitably lose our loved ones along the way, as the aging process happens to us all. Whether your parent or another family member has sadly passed away, you may be accountable for planning their funeral. Understandably, the process can seem overwhelming; however, there are lots of strategies that can help you plan a dignified and respectful funeral for your loved one, such as those listed below.

Plan Ahead

When organizing a funeral for your loved one, you will need to establish whether they have a pre-paid funeral plan in place. You can get help from Baldwin Brothers who are experts in offering some planning tools to ensure the funeral runs smoothly. Baldwin Brothers offer competitive packages and prices on funerals and cremations which can help to keep costs down.

Creating a moving 4-Cylinder Engine with Machine Works | Review

[Ad- gifted product] Earlier this week I built a moving 4-Cylinder Engine, part of the Machine Works range with my eldest son. It’s a fascinating kit, perfect for those who are mechanically minded, or who really enjoy building models. There are a lot of different people out there, and as such there’s a lot of different hobbies out there. I’m not actually very mechanically minded; I struggle with instruction booklets and normally ‘process of elimination’ my way through troubleshooting things. However, I’m really like seeing how things work, from microchips through electronics to machines. The 4-Cylinder Engine kit is a safe, accessible way to learn the core of how an engine works, and comes complete with a manual full of extra information, as well as an AR-based App.

Looking towards the end of Lockdown Tag

Lockdown rules and restrictions have been lifting steadily in the UK. My COVID vacine is booked for tomorrow and it is feeling like after nearly two years of lockdown we are going to actually see the end of it. Everyone has had different reactions to the end of lockdown – there have been so many changes to the way various places run and even to the way people think and interact with each other. I hadn’t hugged anyone outside of the people living with me in a year. It’s been a while ride, but as we are looking forward to the end, I wanted to see how other people were feeling at the end of lockdown. I have created a little tag to reflect and share my thoughts, especially as I didn’t participate in the weekly feelings and thoughts about COVID.
