A Day Out at Inflata Nation Colindale

Inflata Nation Colindale

[Ad- gifted experience] Ever since going to Jump In, we have been really interested in trampoline and air parks! We frequent the one nearest to us so often that Robin actually had her birthday party there last month, so that she could show the place off to all of her friends. So when we heard about a new, inflatable air park opening up that’s not far away from us, we had to go check it out! Inflata Nation Colindale is Inflata Nation’s new London branch, which just opened!

Unlike other inflatable parks, Inflata Nation Colindale doesn’t have their versions of socks to purchase. This is actually the first airpark we’ve ever gone to that just let us jump with our own socks! This is really convened, as it is a bit of a pain remembering what socks we need and getting the kids to keep an eye on them, etc. Being able to just go in with what we have also means there is no added ticket price. There are cubbies for shoes to the side of the park, as well as paid lockers if you have more to store, and the parking at this park is free and well organised, giving plenty of options.

When it comes to the park itself, it’s quite large! There is a massive main area, as well as a separate toddler area for the younger children to go in with their parents. Inflata Nation Colindale has lots of ball pit areas within it, which is really cool! When you go into the main area, on the right hand side, you have a bumped up bounce area, a giant ball pit (which we will get into later), and then a little obstacle course. This course has a bunch of pillars to run through, a wall that slopes, with a bunch of hand grips to help you get across it, a giant inflatable wheel-like thing you can move through to get through a pit, a trampoline, a giant half sphere to walk around, a bunch of dots to jump across – and it just keeps going. There is a rope swing, there is a giant pyramid to climb up, another area to jump through, and a hole in the wall to jump through. It’s really fun to run around and get through, especially as you can race! Inside of this area, there is a giant platform you can climb on, with two of those inflatable logs, that you can then fight each other with – knocking each other off.

Along the outside of this entire area, there are purple ball pit areas, which aren’t too deep. These provide for a good area to fall into and a sometimes needed break from jumping around. The ball pit, inside the park to the right that we mentioned earlier, is a little different. There is actually no real way to enter the ball pit, and instead you need to jump over the side. This is extremely difficult for Robin, Kai and Amelia to do on their own, which resulted in us having to sort of push them over and drop them in. On the other side, the ball pit is so deep that Robin had difficulties standing up and being seen above the balls – and other little children were also running around there, beneath the balls. This made for a really dangerous area, with kids jumping in on top of kids who were hidden in the ball pit. It’s a shame, as this could easily be fixed with a slight rope ladder on the side and about half as many balls in this area. There are three massive slides in the ball pit, though one of them seemed to have no entrance. The other two can be climbed up and slid down, leading you into a huge pile of balls! The girls though this was really amazing, but then got trampled by random other kids, so we had to make our way out. It’s worth noting, none of the children could get in or out without us adults, so you would need to go in with your kids in Inflata Nation Colindale, otherwise they might get stuck. There is also guns along the outside of this ball pit, that kids can put balls into and fire at people.

When you move to the left of the entrance of this massive inflatable park, there is a wall with little arches in it. If you run through these arches, you will find a bunch of massive slides and to the right, another area that has a slight dip. This weird dip area has you running up it and then sliding back down, however if lots of adults or bigger kids get on it, it starts wobbling here and there which everyone finds to be very funny. As for the slides, you actually need to exit the arches and go to the far left, walking up the stars and above the arches – which have massive windows and are a really cool space to walk through, until you make it to the top of the slides! It’s a really cool place to walk around, especially as we have never been to an instable place that allowed you to walk up so high!

Outside of the massive park, there is a small café area downstairs and a much larger one upstairs. Upstairs you get a full view of the entire park from the outside, but if you want to have a closer eye on your children while spending some time out of the park, there are four large monitors that cover all of the inside of the park. You can then spy your children on the monitors to keep a good eye on them, while having some light food or drinks. It’s a really clever idea! Overall, we all really enjoyed Inflata Nation Colindale – with the children all asking to come back soon! It’s a really lovely inflatable park, even if we avoid the main big ball pit!

You can check out our other Days Out to see what else we’ve been up too!

That’s so good that you can wear your own socks. We bought some to go to a trampoline park once and I have no idea where they are, so if we went again we’d have to re buy them. Looks like a lot of fun x

I remember having a spot like that when I was younger. It was so much fun! The ball pen was the best…looks like they had a fun time!
