Looking towards the end of Lockdown Tag

Lockdown rules and restrictions have been lifting steadily in the UK. My COVID vacine is booked for tomorrow and it is feeling like after nearly two years of lockdown we are going to actually see the end of it. Everyone has had different reactions to the end of lockdown – there have been so many changes to the way various places run and even to the way people think and interact with each other. I hadn’t hugged anyone outside of the people living with me in a year. It’s been a while ride, but as we are looking forward to the end, I wanted to see how other people were feeling at the end of lockdown. I have created a little tag to reflect and share my thoughts, especially as I didn’t participate in the weekly feelings and thoughts about COVID.

KiwiCo Tinker Crate – Spin Art Machine | Review

[Ad- gifted product] In our continued mission to find the best subscription boxes for kids, we’ve given KiwiCo’s Tinker Crate a go, and the first box was fantastic. Subscription boxes have developed a lot over the years, I’m not sure exactly when they first became a thing – but I think most of us remember the magazine subscriptions that offered one book of a set of twenty, or a single dinosaur bone per issue. Somewhere along the line, somebody started a cool, activity subscription box, and the whole thing has blown up since.

We’ve dabbled with a lot of these subscription boxes over the last year, giving the kids some fun new ways to learn while homeschooling or in lockdown. KiwiCo’s Tinker Crate was the next one up for us, and – as it turns out – they’re really onto something.

The Bear Can Read Koala Box for May | Review

We are onto our second The Bear Can Read Koala Box, which Robin excitedly opened up, straight from the mail. It’s really lovely to see her so excited about learning and reading, and I feel having this as a subscription is playing a good part in that. This month has been quite hectic for us, but taking the time to read each and every day is something we never miss out on, so I was pretty excited to have some new books to read as well. Koala is specifically Robin’s reading level.

Little Cooks Co Baking Box for April

April has flown by, and during the month, we had our first Little Cooks Co box! This box was picked by Amelia, for her monthly subscription. Robin, as previously mentioned, picked a learning and reading box as she is practicing reading. Amelia wanted to hone in on her cooking skills and work on new recipes, which is really excited for all of us as we get to eat them! When we signed her up for Little Cooks Co, we didn’t realize just how much would be in the box!

Pretty Suds March 2021 Bath Bomb Box | Review

It’s been a full year since we started getting Pretty Suds subscriptions – which is actually the longest we have ever been subscribed to something! This month had the theme “In Rose Wonderland” – which has nods to Alice in Wonderland – full of cute bombs. Along with the normal box of bombs, there was a container of their egg bombs (the first bombs we actually ordered from this company) which are mystery boxes of six mini-bombs! It was a fun surprise.
