Finding Calm Moments in a Nonstop Family Routine

Nobody really tells you how loud life can get. Not just the obvious stuff—screaming toddlers, barking dogs, dinner burning in the oven while the laundry buzzes like it’s mocking you—but the mental volume. The running list in your head: permission slips, that weird smell in the fridge, taxes you meant to file three weeks ago.

Our family life is full. A beautiful mess, sure, but sometimes it feels like we’re all just trying to make it through the day without collapsing into a pile of unmatched socks and Cheerio crumbs.

Project 365 – May

May is always a very fun month, as it’s an important one! This year, we started to add Spring to our household, I gave a talk in London, there was plenty of Pokemon, we all went on holiday, and we celebrated Family Day. Each day of May I shared a photo and little diary entry, as apart of Project 365. This is a challenge to share a photo and bit about your day, every day, for 365 days. Some bloggers post daily, some weekly, and others post monthly like me. You can check out some of the other bloggers taking on this challenge at the bottom of this page.

Some people post theirs weekly or daily, but I post mine Monthly! You can check out a bunch of other bloggers participating, sharing their daily lives, at the bottom of this post. February is one of my favorite months, as it’s my Birthday Month.

There are a few different ticket options for this special event – you can add on going to the castle and add on light skating. We got tickets for the castle and added on the Christmas Light Trail, but will be showcasing the castle in another review. The light trail started as soon as it got dark, so we headed straight in!
