A Day Out at Jurassic Falls Adventure Golf

If you haven’t noticed, the kids really love dinosaurs – especially the youngest, Robin. This summer was all about new experiences for the three of them, and one of them was going off to play mini-golf. As a kid, Jupiter grew up in a very small town, which had it’s own mini-golf course as the major town nearby had quite a few. Going to mini-golf was something she did often and even played as apart of my school’s summer rec program. When looking for mini-golf, Jurassic Falls Adventure Golf seemed like the best option.

With all three kids in tow, we went off to Jurassic Falls. They have a mini-golf course that can be played through in about an hour, as well as a big climbing thing for older children. The climbing range is quite interesting, but Robin is just too small to go on it, so we skipped it this time around opting for just the Jurassic Falls golf. We grabbed our golf balls and clubs, then set off.

Lego Festival at Legoland Windsor

We have gone to a number of time-limited events at Legoland Windsor; their Brick or Treat event, Firework Spectacular, Christmas event, and even their newly opened mini-golf. So, when Dann heard about the Lego Festival happening, as a sort of spring fest, he figured it would be a good time to visit! We have a bunch of favorite rides we enjoy going on, and found that having these new activities to sprinkle throughout the day rounded things out. Once we entered, we went up to the large main stage and grabbed our lanyards, which had a bunch of little pages on them, to tell you about various Lego-related experiences like Fortnight and even their golf course.

Alton Towers Pirate Takeover and Splash Landings Hotel Ice Cave Room

During the February half term, we always go to the Alton Towers Pirate Takeover event. This year, we actually floated not going, as we felt Kai and Amelia were a bit old for the whole thing, but after talking it over with them, everyone decided they really wanted to go and that we needed to. With that in mind, we booked up tickets to the Pirate Takeover, with a night at Splash Landings in the Ice Cave Room.

Playing Arcade Games at Gravity Max Stratford

Dann is a big fan of arcades and I am a big fan of adventures! On one of the days of the summer holiday, everyone seemed a bit bored at home, so we all decided we wanted to go to an arcade. Gravity Max has recently opened up a venue in Westfield Stratford, which is quite nearby to us, so we decided to make a day out of it and see what the arcade was all about. Dann and I had recently gone to a Gravity Max for a press event for our day jobs, and ever since have been itching to take our children.
